The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a leading organization in the sustainability field. GRI promotes the use of sustainability reporting as a way for organizations to become more sustainable and contribute to sustainable development.
GRI has pioneered and developed a comprehensive Sustainability Reporting Framework that allows companies and organizations to demonstrate economic, environmental and social impacts caused by their everyday activities. It also helps them present their values and governance model, and the link between its strategy and their commitment to a sustainable global economy.
With a mission to make sustainability reporting standard practice for all companies and organizations, GRI enables greater organizational transparency and accountability. This can build stakeholders' trust in organizations, and lead to many other benefits.
